Just thought I’d let you know that am finally in Addenbrookes hospital having chemo as we speak.
Had a Hickman line fitted last week. Am on Day 6, had dose of fludara and campath. Been just on fludara until today and was coping well, no side effects.
Campath is slightly stronger and took about 2 hours to be pumped in with various side effects.
Unfortunately I have succumbed to sickness but this was expected so an anti-sickness has been given intravenously and appears to be working.
I believe today will be repeated tomorrow and Melphalan started.
STC is due this Thursday.
Will update when I’m feeling better.

Thanks for your update in trying circumstances as you gear up towards receiving the donor cells Thursday. What you experience is par for the course and will pass so hang in there.
Hoping the anti sickness medicine works quickly and you're soon feeling better. All the best as you near your transplant date. We're all thinking about you and wishing you good things! Hugs from NYC.
Thank you for sharing your story. One cannot read it and not be moved as it is so gruelling for you but it is also very interesting to read what involves a SCT. I sympathise with your pain and send all the good luck in the world. It is a journey many of us will not and cannot take but there is a little bit of me that wishes I could to be rid of this horrible disease.
So well done you, you have gone through and been through so much but you are nearly there and I take my hat off to you .
thank you so much for sharing your update with us all, I hope that the anti-sickness meds continue to work. Good luck for Thu, we are all thinking of you and sending you lots of best wishes and hugs. Maz x x
I hope all goes well and you make a speedy recovery . Sleep as much as you can . If you get mucositis hang in there …… it will pass . The nurses were amazing looking after me when I had my stc and hopefully it will be the same for you .
Good luck. Never be afraid to ask for stronger anti sickness tablets . They were my sons saviour!!...that and his amazon fire stick whilst in patient during his stem cell transplant.
