Just wondered what the advice is. My pv is well controlled but hot flushes getting a bit much. I take 90 mcg every fortnight.

I have HRT patches & controls any sweats however I am on 45 of Peg monthly but it was worse when I was on weekly injections.

Just stick HRT patch top outside thigh 👌 Julia .

I was but back on patches and have used HU and Peg but only low doses. You need to consult a menopause expert and they need to liaise with your Heam .There is a risk depends whether you think.its worth it. I did and went straight back on after having bilateral pulmonary embolism.

Thank you for your responses. I'm finding it such a hard decision. I'm seeing a private menopause expert next Thursday and have also asked my NHS haematologist. Will let you know what I decide. I don't have a friend who isn't on it! Aged 55

hi. I was going nuts with hot flashes more than 65 a day.. I finally found a Gynechologist to put me on bio identical hormone. It’s been a lifesaver. I feel completely normal balanced sleep normally again no more hot flashes. by identical does not interfere with any medication at all and it does not increase the chances of any cancer or any other problems in the future as do the chemical hormone replacement therapies. 😃

Thank you Anag. Do any of you have testosterone mixed into your hrt?

My haematologist responded yesterday to say that as my hct and platelets counts are well controlled she is happy for me to seek hrt. Yay!

Hi, I think it is safer to take transdermal HRT than oral HRT. I take Transdermal due to having a hysterectomy. I hope you get it all sorted out.
