Pegasys and sore eyes

I have ET and I inject pegasys 90 fortnightly. The dosage has now been increased to 135. Following this larger dose I experience very sore eyes. This is most intense for 3 or 4 days then eases off gradually. Does anyone else experience this side effect and any tips?

Many thanks

Hi Tintins, it would be wise to speak to your haematologist or your haematology nurse about this problem. Best wishes, Maz

I get this sore feeling in the eyes too sometimes. Not 100% percent sure it's related to Pegasys, but it looked like so.

I also get this, ( also on 135mg), although it’s a lot better now I’m on Pegasys than when I was on standard Interferon . I use Boots eye drops for dry eyes on the mornings it’s worse and they seem to help a lot.

One of my symptoms of P V ,along with red palms of hands was red sore eyes. I still have sore and watering eyes from time to time, never go outside without dark specs,my normal specs for working are tinted also.My medics here seem to think that with some people it is the P V but also Meds,I am Rux now, seems to be helping to level out counts....after 15 months.

As swim swam said ,the dry eyes drops do help.Good Luck in finding relief.
