Hi mark It’s not easy to get cheap assurance with any health condition's and blood cancers flags up , my experience is , I had to go into detail to explain my condition ET-MF then is was put in the records once I spelt it Mylo fibrosis , since then covid stopped assurance from bank so now if I do travel will have to declare condition to a independent assurance agent and it will cost me more ! There are assurance agents out there to help people with cancer ! Best of luck

Hi mark382, I don’t have PV but I do have ET and I found that my travel insurance through my bank account covered it at no extra cost. So my advice would be to not purchase travel Insurance online but instead talk to a travel insurance advisor. That certainly helped me.

Hi Mark

I have been diagnosed with PV and got travel insurance with Admiral Insurance. I have declared both high blood pressure and the PV.

With regards to the PV they ask if you have developed AML, Myleodyplastic syndrome or MF and if you have had any unplanned hospital admissions. I had neither of these and premiums were reasonable.

You can have normal, gold or premium policies.

Obviously if you are covered free with your bank then great. But if not this may be of help.
