Myelofibrosis and travel insurance.

Anyone with Myelofibrosis, who has had transfusion,been successful obtaining travel insurance. I’m longing to take my granddaughter to Orlando to Disney world.Several attempts with various agents have all been negative. Thanks.

There are a number of insurance companies that provide travel insurance for people with existing conditions.

I was in New York last summer and got insured with Allclear.

It was a bit more expensive than some but actually cheaper than the Post Office quote where I didn't declare the Myelofibrosis!

There are a couple of posts on this site, if you can try to search for 'travel insurance' I'm sure you'll get some good information.

Thanks everyone. Post Office refused, I think because I have had transfusion and an infection in last year.

I visited Maggies at Freeman Hospital today, wonderfully warm greeting and given lots of advice re travel insurance.
