I have been getting pain in my left side of the ribs for a couple of weeks. (2nd time this has happened to me.)
My doctor sent me to the hospital.
No blood clots, other blood tests are great, everything is fine. X-rays are clear.
I thought it could have been my spleen or heart.
NO, they said it could be arthritis in my ribs (yes my ribs) because I have arthritis in my knees, he said arthritis can go to other joints and bones in your body. At least I have to all clear on all the tests.

Not sure what medication regimen you are currently on, but adverse effects from meds might be possible. Another possibility is the propensity we have with MPNs for all sorts on inflammatory "...itises." Osteoarthritis would certainly make the list. There is also a condition that more specifically involves the rib cage
"Costochondritis (kos-toe-kon-DRY-tis) is an inflammation of the cartilage that connects a rib to the breastbone (sternum). Pain caused by costochondritis might mimic that of a heart attack or other heart conditions."
