I have PV and had the pneumonia jab in May for the first time, offered in my GP surgery to those shielding. With the flu vaccine I normally get a sore arm for a couple of days. This one was much worse! I could hardly move my arm the next day, and the pain, redness and swelling lasted for a week. I also developed a temperature and felt very ropey a day or two after. These are all known side effects that the nurse alerted me too. But although it is unpleasant for a few days it is well worth it to reduce the risk of pneumonia! X

My husband got PMF, he had pneumonia injection a couple of years ago. He had no problems. Told he wouldn't need another one. He's having his flu jab next week.

Hope you have no problems. X

Also have PV and have had the pneumonia vaccine. No big deal. No side effects. Much better than getting pneumonia.
