Hi everyone,

What a carry on getting travel insurance we were with stay sure with my blood clotting abnormality and my husband's PV.

But my husband's PV is now post PV MF so I informed stay sure an annual joint policy for us both was going to be £399!!

I've rang insurance with and for exact same cover with cruise cover is £233 joint annually.

It pays to shop about.

Well done Tracey, it does pay to shop around. We all have different ailments as well as our mpn.

It's so annoying people with MPNs suffer enough without getting ripped off with insurance companies.

There was a lot of companies who wouldn't even insure us.

My husband works full time has no symptoms and feels brilliant since starting ruxolitnib. It's as if they treat you like an alien.

One company wanted to charge £235 just go a single two week cruise trip.

Good luck to everyone who needs travel insurance definitely try insurance with

There reviews are really good.

I have had ET for almost 30 years and have never had a problem with travel insurance, however I have now had a heart attack and will have to take extra cover. Not looking forward to shopping around though.

Hi Tracey - thanks for the heads up, I'm travelling to the USA with the family in the summer, the quotes I had were insane!

InsureWith are much more reasonable!!!

We haven't priced USA cover however , we were suppose to be doing San Francisco LA and Vegas but had to cancel as we weren't sure what was happening when we went to see the transplant team. Turned out every was ok so we now doing a cruise out of Southampton.

We will look at USA for next year.
