Hello,

Just want to say thank you to Maz and everyone on here and who was at the forum in Edinburgh.

After all your advice etc i now have an apt with Christies next week.

Consultants secretary rang me today about my โ€˜missed aptโ€™ 10 days ago.. i hadnโ€™t known anything about it.

Luckily iโ€™ve managed to get on a clinic with a Dr Dennis but its Dr somervilles clinic.

Iโ€™m feeling really neevous now as been waiting for this apt for a while, and need to make sure i have my millions of questions ready ๐Ÿ˜ฑ

Looking forward to having specilist advice.

Thanks

Tara

Hi Maz, I just want to say thank you for adding me to this group. It is awesome. I have learned so much which has made my life a little more comfortable. The information on from this chat gives me great hope. Everytime I visit my haem, I have so many questions for him based on the information I have received from the people from this forum. I am managing well and my platelets are going down. I started at 626 and now it is 464. Hoping to have it even further reduced with the use of hydroxy. It is not everyday I feel the best, but I am trusting that all will be well. Thanks all for the information and to all 'feel better'.

Hi Tara,

Thatโ€™s great news. Write down all your questions and take your list with you because then you wonโ€™t forget to get the answers you need.

Kindest regards Aime xx๐Ÿ˜บ๐Ÿ˜บ

Hi Tara

Good luck with the appointment. I was very wound up before I went for mine on Monday. If you can take someone along with you it really helps. My husband came with me (didnโ€™t trust me not to crash the car!) and was a complete brick, even though he was completely out of his comfort zone.

All the best

Hi Tara

Donโ€™t feel nervous. I too asked to be referred to Tim Somervaille and after just 3 appointments my life has been turned around for the better. They listen to you! Everyone in the clinic are so helpful

Hi Tara,

Just come across your post.

I have PV and live in Windermere. I was a patient locally but decamped to Christie's 4 plus years ago because I had absolutely no faith in my treatment.

I too see Tim Somervaille who specialises in MPN's - he's a really nice guy, knows his stuff and believe me - it's the best choice you will ever have made.

Are you interested in knowing a lady in Kirkby Lonsdale who also has ET?

She too is about to move to Christie's. My direct email is louisebroughton8388@gmail.com.

No need for all this undercover stuff!

Love

Louise.

Hi Louise

i wil private email you later today when i have more time.

But wow someone local! i

go to windermere quite often as my friend n work colleague lives there.

It would be amazing to speak to someone close by who has ET like the lady you know in kirkby Lonsdale.. that would be so benficial.

Thanks for getting in touch n will message you later.
