There is a very interesting report with advice from Drs Ruben Mesa, Claire Harrison and Richard T Silver on mpnforum.com . It arrived in my inbox from MPNforum Magazine and it starts with quite a long discussion written by Zhenya Senyak who has MF, before the advice from Dr Harrison, Dr Mesa and Dr Silver.
It was particularly good to read Dr Harrison’s article on the Guys and St Thomas research up to now and I just want to thank MPN Voice and Blood Cancer UK for their grants and the team of researchers for their work.

I spoke to a haematologist on Dr Eibhlin Conneally’s team this week about it. She reckons as an ET patient on Pegasys my immune system would be hyperactive rather than suppressed, which should translate to having a strong response to vaccination.
She said they’re still not certain how well MPN patients in general are responding to vaccination.
Studies so far have been very small with few MPN participants. I read elsewhere that Prof Claire Harrison will be publishing better research on this soon.
Thank you Pauline for bringing this report to our notice. Very interesting and throws some light on our position. Will await further research with hope.
