My Naturopathic Dr said to try alternating my Hemo’s advice of daily 81 mg of aspirin with 100 mg of Pycnogenol since the later has less negative effects on internal issues.
So I am taking aspirin 3 x week and Pycnogenol 4 x. Been about 3 weeks now and I have found that I bruise Less now!
Anyone else using Pyc?!

Have you checked this with your haematologist, it is advisable before taking any supplements or vitamins etc that you inform your haematologist so they can check for any contraindications or interactions with your prescribed medication. Best wishes, Maz
So in your case is the aspirin there for thrombosis prevention ,platelet aggregation ? I ask as I'm taking aspirin every other day for secondary prevention of a heart attack. I have read many positives articles and trials for pyc and it certainly has many positive pleiotropic effects. However I don't want to switch over to pyc fully without proper testing. So I like your idea of possibly mixing the 2. Given aspirin has been proven to be 75% effective when taken every third day this approach could actually help offset some of aspirins negatives effects and a phased approach with tests confirming this would be safest move
Did you have any before or after tests when you switched? If so which ones? Also what's your pyc dose? Also any advice on brand to ensure quality of dose?
Yes, I take Pycnogenol every other day at 100mg per my doctor’s suggestion and other day 81 mg baby aspirin. I like Life Extension but I’m not well studied on the various brands. Hope this helps!
