I have done something stupid in that I have brought all my hubby's meds to our son for the holiday unfortunately I found I did not count them correctly. I am short on carbocisteine which is not prescribed in Canada, they have something called Mucinex, does antone know if I can use this for the last 4 days please?

Mucinex is guaifenesin, which is not normally used for chronic chest complaints. It would be worth seeking a second opinion or discussing it with a pharmacist, but would probably be better than nothing. If you are early enough on that he could have some carbocysteine each day plus some Mucinex, this may be a compromise. In the USA, carbocysteine is marketed as Availnex - I don't know about Canada.

Personally, I would discuss with a pharmacist out there or contact his doctor back here in the UK. I would not guess or go on what any non-professional might say. Good luck
