I just wanted to check in and see how everyone's week went. Mine has been up and down. Lots of anxiety and my OCD's have kicked into high speed. I'm trying to stay focused, but between the anxiety and OCD's I'm not making a lot of progress.
I hope everyone is doing well and you're having a good weekend.

having a light manic episode, that means waking up at 5am, being energetic and optimistic, that doesn't sound bad but I'm on medication I plan to quit (doctor agreed last appointment since it's been 6 months)
I completely understand manic episodes. My younger sister had them for decades, and I was the one she shared her ups and downs with. She was either very high manic or very low manic. She didn't have a gray area. For me, it was hard and emotional to watch her spiraling like that. But we did it together,
May I ask why you're getting off your medication? No judging.
manic depression is genetic and life-long, but the doctor diagnosed my condition as acute, not chronic, and medication has serious side effects if taken long-term, I'd rather keep it under control on my own.
You're right...the medications do have serious side effects with long term use. It did nothing for my sister. I'm here if you ever need to chat. Let's keep in touch :-).
