Currently I'm informal/voluntary in a general hospital in the UK whilst my physical health is managed. The plan is for me to be transfered to a mental health hospital once physically well as an informal patient.
I don't want to go to a mental health hospital as having been there previously I know it's likely to be detrimental to my health.
My question is...if I refuse to go what is the liklihood I'll get sectioned and what grounds would they have to section me on?
I'm in hospital for a serious suicide attempt and have been for nearly 7 weeks.
Thanks in anticipation

You need to be careful with mental health and clearly help is good, see if you can get support and medication anyway. With medication, they might not section you but I think they want to monitor you on medication and that's why the sectioning The best to you
best wishes getting you to a better mind set hopefully you’ll get help with some of the stresses that caused a breakdown ,I’m sure if you’re voluntary they will work with you to get you out in the community asap
