I feel bad making this post because I know that many in this community have problems that need real help. I just feel so lonely and drink every night to cope with this boredom. Is this OK? Anyone else the same?
Hello all.: I feel bad making this post... - Mental Health Sup...
Hello all.
Hi AlexYou are not alone with this, loneliness is terrible on your mental health and it's made worse if you drink to get through the night as it can be a depressant itself.
This group is good for us, you can ask questions or just come on to vent. It's ok and never think that you need less help than anyone else , every little helps.
I hope you find some answers and feel better soon.
You have to find some herbal teas or smoothie or something tasty to replace craving. But you could try homeopathy medicine to get rid of craving! Worked on my dad but unfortunately I don't remember what he tried. Will ask mother! Ask expert though !
Alex I like a drink about two or three times a week, I enjoy an ale and a dram of malt, I am very careful what I drink and in the distant past I had discussed this activity with my GP. As long as you drink in moderation and do not overdo it you should be ok. However if your mood and Depression including Anxiety is sever you will need to be careful as drink can cause problems with mood and possibly your Mental Health. A drink can help you relax as long as you are careful and you know your limit. If you feel your need increases, you need to be strong enough to stop

I suffer from boredom. I live on my own. My friends have families and their own lives so I’m on my own. I find if I drink I get in to a lower mood than without it, so it’s rare that I touch it cos I know how it makes me feel. You drink to help, but it seems to do the opposite, but it does feel good to do at the time. I’m a fan of Netflix now. When I get bored I find something to watch. It doesn’t help lift my mood but it seems to take my mind off life which helps.
