Hi guys I started trazodone a week ago and wondering who’s had it and how long did it take you to feel the effects my depression has been so bad now for 3 weeks not sleeping well at all and so so down and fed up just hoping better days are coming

Thank you it’s just really tough waiting isn’t it I just want to be back to my old selfNow can’t cope with this feeling at all

Try not to worry it will just make matters worse. You need to keep yourself positive as you gain confidence in getting well again

Hi Melly - keep going and hopefully you will start to feel a bit better soon. I'm 4 weeks in on trazodone and it's been a bit up and down. But I've noticed a few good days which I hope will turn into a new normal for me. My doc says 2-6 weeks to start to feel better but we're all different.

Find it helps not to try and monitor the drug too much and just take it regularly and forget about it between gp appointments.

Thank you I’ve been abit like that good days and bad days I think when I don’t sleep really doesn’t help at all just hoping for better days
