Hi. Sorry you are having so much trouble at the moment. I havent taken it but don't have much faith from what I've heard about it. Have you tried meditation and hypnotherapy ? I downloaded a couple of apps and certain sessions work for me. Try a 30min guided meditation (using earphones) see if it helps you. I do hope so ❤

Hi Rubyx and thank you for your post. Temazepam affects chemicals in the brain that may be unbalanced in people with sleep problems [insomnia]. Temazepam is used to treat insomnia symptoms such as trouble falling asleep or staying asleep. Temazepam is a drug that is used for treating anxiety. It begins to work in 10 to 20 minutes after you take a dose, with the levels peaking at about one and a half hours later. Please see your GP if there is no improvement. I hope you find this helpful. Are any other members able to help Rubyx, please?

In my opinion it is an amazing drug when used in the shortterm. It helps/ed reduce my anxiety significantly and I did sleep. I don't know how long they prescribed it for but I've always been told no longer than three days in a row ever because it is highly addictive and if you keep taking it beyond those three days it will lose it's effectiveness and also worsen the symptoms of anxiety. So yes I have used it ( well lorazepam which is a slightly shorter acting drug but the same stuff; it is valium basically), but I use it like gold . I use it extremely sparingly when i am in dire straits and then straight off it and it works well for me in those conditions. Most doctors no longer prescribe valium ( temazepan, lorazepam , diazepam; all the same thing) or even zopiclone (which they have now decided is similar) Unfortunately I got hooked on zopiclone about 35 years ago and am unable to come off it completely but once again nowadays the advice with that is no longer than three days as It doesn't work after that. I continue to take it because I cannot sleep at all for weeks on end if I don't take a tiny bit of it so i still do but its come down to just about an acceptable level for the doctors though they hate me being on it and apparently it can cause all sorts of damage to your organs in the long term. Not to scare you but just saying. Use these drugs thriftily and only when you really need. x
