I just joined this site. I'm not really sure what's appropriate to say right now. I am just opening myself up a bit due to recent overwhelming distress. I suffer from several mental conditions and would like to talk to other folks who may understand what I go through.

Hi Chloe it’s great you’re on here!!! There are a lot of very kind, caring and understanding ppl on here!! Sorry to hear about you struggling with such distress!! My heart goes out to you and prayers for you to have some hope and healing days ahead!!!-🌻🌼🌸🌺💐🌷🌹🦋🦋🦋☺️ ☀️ 🤗💞💞
Welcome.
I guess the only thing is say what you need to say to get the help or support you need at that time. It can be a small event or a big picture question.
People will ask questions, give advice, and empathize with you. Some people ask about effects of medications. Some talk about relationships. Some are standing on the edge and need a calm voice to bring them back in. There is no right or wrong ways. Just give enough detail that it makes sense.
Some responses will be right away and some will come in days later. There are people from around the world on here, so there are some cultural differences, but don’t worry about it.
I have anxiety and depression. I had a career as a teacher, but fell victim to the system that is not set up for teachers who need support. I had a major car accident last spring that took me down for most of 2020 and I just had more surgery on the foot, so I will miss out parts of January and February. 2020 sucked for trying to do a career change.
I have a weekly CBT therapist. I see a life coach online. I am connecting up with a job service for people that struggle with mental or physical health.

Hello Chloe. I’ve been struggling and the benefits of this site are talking (typing) out loud, knowing others are going through the same and interacting... people genuinely are here to help.
