It's been a year in temporary accommodation. I can't even begin to start again because of covid 19. I have been very frustrated. I was supposed to start my life a year ago. Fed up is an understatement!!
I am also rubbish at technology. So feel totally stuffed.
I also can't restart my life. Everything fell apart and due to covid, there is nothing open at the moment for a new path. Everything is on hold. And maybe that's why I keep having thoughts of dying, of deaths, of suicide, of the end. These thoughts are not helpful at all but they are present. Just got to also put them on hold.
Keep making phone calls. Try zoom. Video links even if the video just your phone. Make a connection with somebody Ask them directly to make you laugh don't suppress depression .The double negative in this wordy case is a positive if you have DAB radio and you like soul and funk music. Radio 6 is doing that good feeling now. Craig Charles funk and soul show. My wish for you?
Pull yourself through it.
Vaccines and social activities will resume

I use You Tube for music, the choice of music is never ending, give it a try, it helps me relax especially if I am feeling jumpy. Some sites have pages with the full selection of music and you can join Fan Clubs and get music sent by them by the singers or music involved, just a suggestion ??

I do often but sometimes, I just like bbc radio 6 because it suits me some times to just have the choices made for me. It's sort of my demographic.I used to listen to bbc radio 2 a lot but I have always been underneath it all into bands that have a message. So punk rock was for me but then there is the indulgence of Nick cave
and the Bad Seeds. And then there is Paul Weller , which I first heard doing his stuff with the Jam and then cafe blue. True punk rockers won't be stereo typed. Like there is nothing like a good brass band to warm you up and just smile at the pleasent sound and artistry.
Active 8 are a good brass band a little lose but you can just here they are having fun!!!

Bon Jovey , The Moody Blues, I used to enjoy Heavy Metal. Meatloaf to name just a few. Ballroom was my thing, However we listen to local radio, Magic, Absolute. My memory is bad. so I have problems with short term memory. It is a real problem especially when I try and remember past interests.
I have been listening to an American female trio who concentrate on Scottish, Irish and Welsh music and modern Folk, it is simplistic and I do not need to be always remembering songs etc as my Wife purchased their records from the States, so when I feel stressed I go to their site or Fan Club. It is all to to with mood and relaxation
On the Fan Club they put on a mini concert where members vote on the music they want to hear and they play the tunes, this happens once a month. There are also other contributions like over Christmas, it was a lovely thing listening to carols and Folk Music [played for members

Have you tried Gweno a female singing from Cornwall and wales. Absolutely brilliant. I know you know this already but where you sit most often put a pen and paper near by.. to the bargain shop and get as many pens as possible you will find those pens every where. What for pen and paper you know to right it down the second you hear it. Finding pens every where should make you smile.

I am a bit like that, I have to keep notes so I do not forget. Now sad to say I came into the Living room and I began to clean out the plates and glasses on my table before breakfast. I walked back in from the kitchen looked at my table and could not remember shifting stuff, I started to get confused and I went back into the kitchen and all the stuff was there on the wash board. I had lost memories from five mins before ??. Sometimes like today I sit here and am in so deep with what I am doing I forget time. It is a good thing my Wife keeps an eye on me

Hello Flipin
Sorry you are stuck were you are, there are many people stuck, unable to move. It is not just people who let properties, also people purchasing a new home are stuck as well because paperwork is stuck in Governments, or Legal Departments. Even looking at properties is a problem people are viewing homes by film, even when they decide the move will be positive it is still taking additional months, six months to get papers drawn up so you are not alone.
Everyone is just kicking their heals
When it comes down to Technology, I was an Engineer and was retired over thirty years ago and now when it comes down to using Modern Technology I am a dead loss, so again some times I need to just wing it.
You are not alone life is a real problem, I have to get out in the garden and sort out my fruit trees for this Spring, the weather is so cold and with being seventy I am frightened to go outside slip and fall and break a leg etc, so we just sit inside reading and watch television. Everyone I suppose is doing the same
Keep a Hold. things can only get better

What a relief, it's not just me. I feel for your frailty and your incredible sprit being hampered. My empathy goes out to you. Maybe we will all get enoculated and dance again.

I used to love dancing Ballroom and Latin American when I was fit. in my twenties, sad to say the world has moved on since then. I suppose dancing must be one activity we cannot partake, we cannot get in close to our partners.
I am building a target rifle range in the back garden when I can get outside.
My rifle arrives, Wednesday with all the ranges items to shoot, so it is giving me something else to try. Will try and do anything just to get the mind working again

I don't want to reach my elder to suck eggs but I haven't watched any telly for a year. I listen to the radio. Much better to talk to! Almost by manic the next comment from the broadcaster will agree, with you or disagree and there are no come backs. You can be as insulent as you like! I can't wait to just dance about without creeky floorboards. My favorite dance is the waltz. So nice to be lead and be graceful. Good luck.

When I was dancing I loved the Quick Step, various Waltzes. Modern, Latin American and Old Tyme. The floor was strung on metal rafters and it was fantastic to dance on the wooden floor used to bounce and it made dancing a real dream. Happy memories
