I am very anxious about tomorrow, about work and how the week will go.
I have a mountain of work to do mainly because I procrastinated a lot this week. Instead of completing tasks I end up doing meaningless things and wasting my time. I know this week will be stressful and it’s all my fault.
How can I come out of this constant procrastination? Why I always end up in this situation?
Now I am unable to sleep and worrying endlessly.

Small steps, first do 5 minutes and then increase to 10 to 20 until you can do
It is no good worrying about the week ahead, the future will look after itself. However the problem of putting off what you could do today is something that can lead to problems at work. Have you tried to work on one task for an hour or so and then move onto something else then return to the job you passed over. If you are flapping around someone is bound to notice and if you cannot do the work, there is only one way forward. Distraction can be habit forming However I do not feel it is anything to do mental health, just not being able to settle and do your work,
Thank you for your message! I really appreciate it. It’s been funny couple of weeks, or very exhausting more like. The mountain of work that I feared so much have been done, as of Friday last week. It took longer than expected as I could not help myself but procrastinate during the day. But I stayed up late, around till midnight everyday to do the work I didn’t do during the day. It was hard work but bordereiever and Indieabc’s suggestions really helped. I did not want someone noticing my lack of production and sack me and also I tried to do little by little.
Unfortunately I was very anxious again last night about this week and wrote a long post but deleted it at the end. (It was too long!) I have my annual performance review this afternoon so it’s making me very worried. I plan to go out for a walk before that meeting just to clear my mind but I really struggle with meetings in general and this meeting is one of the worst!
Thanks again for your message and I hope you have a great week.
