I ask because the therapist I currently have has been great for me. I have gotten really far with her. However, she is part of a recovery center which includes the psychiatrists, admin personnel, etc. Basically, the overall quality of the center I have been going too is subpar. Admin things like prior authorization, scheduling, etc. And the doctors just aren't that good. Plain and simple. I found my own independent doctor that is miles ahead in terms of knowledge and treatment, so I'm canceling any psychiatry services from that place. However, my therapist has been wonderful for me. I would hate to lose her by by switching doctors, but I have to go with what works best for me. Anybody know of any conflict of interest issues, if I can still keep the same therapist but see another doctor at another center? Thanks in advance for your replies.
