First post. I was on Sertraline for approx 6 months, but I had constant issues will my bowels and permanent piles. I've now been on Citalopram for 3 months now and I'm still having the same issues.
Could I possibly be allergic to SSRI's? I also have started to suffer from short term memory loss. Things like forgetting I was doing something and starting something else.
Weirdly my depression is under control and on Citalopram I appear to be able to manage my "call of the void" instincts. Where as on Sertraline it was more prevalent.
One last thing does anyone suffer from painful aches. My shoulders, especially my right one are constantly painful.
Sorry for the mix of questions.

If you are concerned about any side effects from the medication I would urge you to speak with your GP so a full assessment can be made by a qualified physician who has access to all your medical history.
Prioritise healthy eating & increase your fibre & fresh fruit/veg intake & drink several litres of water daily, these will ease the constipation symptoms. Try and walk for at least 30mins or more each day to help ease your aches & pains, it may be you are “holding” tension in your body. Relaxation Apps can also help relax you and reduce tension.
Difficulty concentrating or memory problems can be symptoms of high stress levels, anxiety, depression and also dehydration.
