how do I help my best friend?

my best friend of over 20 years have birth to a beautiful baby girl just over two weeks ago, but she had to be in placed in neonatal intensive care for a couple of weeks as she was only around 5lbs, but she was discharged on Monday just gone.

one of our friends messaged me on messenger as me if my best friend was ok as she had deactivated her Facebook page, but I couldn't see my best friend online, so I messaged her youngest sister and asked her if my best friend was ok as she'd deactivated her Facebook page and she messaged back saying that my best friend was only using one of her accounts as she was feeling a bit low last week.

my best friend had put some thing about it on her Facebook page and the way both my best friend and her youngest sister sounded in what they had typed it's sounded like my best friend may be starting with postnatal depression, but I'm not sure.

how do I mention it to my best friend without sounding like I'm juding her?

All you can do is ask how she is getting on, can you not arrange a visit to see the baby, you will then be able to see the situation for yourself, hopefully then you can put your mind at rest.

You could also ask her younger Sister how she is getting on. It is early days and many people can feel a bit low after After a birth. It may be it will sort out soon however you can also ask if her doctor has been approached
