Self-harm scars itching *trigger warning*

So long story short I've had problems with self-harm and with cutting.

I dont know why but my scars have been really itchy lately. And no, they aren't infected. Newest ones are probably 2 months old.

Anyone else have this happen?

Generally it will be part of the healing process, however that does not mean you will have no scarring.

Your skin has different layers and when you cut you go through these layers and the damaged muscle etc, everything needs to heal, the scabs will be cracking and falling off

All I can suggest try not removing scabs or itching the areas involved.

When the skin is cleared purchase Bio Oil at the chemists and rub that into your damaged area, that will help the scar and skin flex better and heal
