It may be a side effect that will go in time, but you should talk with your doctor

Hi,

I am sorry to hear of the problems you are experiencing. Whenever we start new medications, there is very often side effects to cope with. These usually pass given time. The Escitalopram can take time to get into your system. I have been on it for a good number of years, I would never like to be taken off of it, I feel like it saved my life, (I was trying to take my life, had been sectioned had several admissions to mental health hospitals and was given ECT which was horrific). I still suffer depression and anxiety, but not to the degree that I had been. I have told you this in the hope that it may help you in trying to decide weather to stick with it and see if the headaches pass or to come off of it. Maybe best to speak to your doctor. Anyway, take good care, and I hope the very best for you. Tramelia

Aww thank you, they are doing me good but it's just the headaches. I still get anxiety and depression but these have been the best yet and I've been on antidepressants for 7 years. Dr's and other health professionals think it's bipolar and personality traits also Adhd. Just waiting to see lmht for a mood stabiliser. Been a long tough journey for me at 33 now been through so much 💔 I just need to get sorted properly.

At the doctors Thursday so I'll mention it then, but it is a side effect

Take care of yourself also

Hi, me again.

One thing that I forgot to mention. My husband used to be on Escitalopram, it did wonders for him, but it was discovered that he has something called Long QT Syndrome, and it was found that Escitalopram made it worse, so sadly, he has had to come off of it. Long QT Syndrome is also called the drop dead syndrome, because it can literally cause you to just drop dead. I mention it just in case you may by chance suffer from it, obviously I hope not, but I felt I should say something. It's Just a thought that you may want to mention it to the doctors. It's easily checked with an ECG. Hope all goes well Thursday and you get some answers. All the very best.

I'll talk to the doctor, thank you for mentioning it tho... I was ok till I found out last night my grandad is in hospital I'm a big family girl and it's really upset me 💔 so now I'm laid up crying. If anything happens to him it will kill me 😢😢😢

I'm so sorry to hear about your grandad. It is never easy when someone we love dearly is unwell and in hospital. He is however, in the best place, where they can care for him, I know it's far from easy, but try to be strong. Wishing you all the best.

I'm trying to be strong but I just keep crying, not knowing what's happening. I can't cope with things like this very good. This has had a massive impact on my mental health. Won't no till later what's wrong so I'm on edge and alsorts are going around in my head. I won't be able to see him till 2moro and I'm a very emotional person so going to find it hard not to cry. Think we should take this conversation privately. Thank you for taking the time to talk to me. This page and website is a blessing 🙏

Thank you

Do you have any family or close friends that you can talk to? There is always the Samaritans, but personally speaking, I have not found that they were able to help me, but we are all different. I know how difficult it must be waiting to find out what is wrong with your grandad. I have been in your position several times in my life with loved ones. We can only try to be positive, and hope that it is nothing too bad. I hope the the news about your grandad is nothing too bad. All the best.

I've got very good friends that know me and my mixed personalitys lol I find the samaritans a waste of time tbh there no good for me. I'm on countdown to see the mental health team now. I'm taking 2 friends with me that no me well and see different sides of me. I'm very difficult I no this myself. My partner needs a platinum medal for putting up with me.

I keep a diary of the way I am daily.

I like these escitalopram but I'm still all over the place with moods and personality problems.

My family won't tell me what's wrong with grandad bucasue of the way I think and go off, I'm not emotionally stable

It is a side effect so keep on at them hun, hopefully they'll ease off. No matter what antidepressants you go on you'll have side effects. Is this your 1st time on them?

What do you suffer with if you don't mind me asking... I suffer with depression and anxiety but some professionals are also querying bipolar type 2,adhd kleptomania and so much more but the mental health team are not willing 2 help me it's been 5 years I've been battling with them and it's really grinding me down I'm either up or down there's no in between with me..... So I'm putting a complaint in against them cos they are really letting me down
