Hi stormofraiza I'm on them initially put on for insomnia 15 mgs now on 30 mgs this is for general anxiety.i suffered with depression in 2015 and was on 20 mg citalopram for over a year weaned off then had a lot of unrest in my life.ie had a dip got insomnia then got prescribed mirtazipine.they help but as I said I combine them with learning doing a c b t in stress in Feb.so whatever aids you on your recovery.good luck.you will find many answers about mirtazipine but it's all about what suits you.

Hi I am on mitrazapine I’ve been on them 2 months started on 15mg then got put up to 30mg. I have tried about 5 different ones before these. And I could not tolerate the side effects etc it took 3 years to find. I am fine with these only real side effect is a dry mouth and they are working😊 I feel better than I’ve felt in a long, long time. I have found them to be the best help me sleep better too. Best of luck 😘

I was put on them about 2 years ago due to having sleep problems. I lasted one month and switched to something else. I had dry mouth but suffered with brain in a haze and struggled to think straight. Towards to end of the month I had extreme suicidal thoughts so quickly went to the doctor and switched.

They were great to put you to sleep in 30 minutes but the foggy brain all day I just could not cope with. They did not suit me and since heard nor Robin Williams. RIP

It didn't seem to help me one way or another...but the funny this is: my friends thought I was 'more myself' when I was on it... I stopped because I felt it was making me feel funny ... I have a close friend from the UK who has been on it for years and she really likes and appreciates it. As with most of these meds...its all so individual...but I have never heard anything 'bad' about Mirtazapine.

I just up and quit but were on them for only about 8 months..No problems .I know we are always supposed to take 'dr's advice'...but maybe you could try very slowly...like cut back a half (or one whole) pill every 2 days for awhile...then gradually SLOWLY reduce the amt you take every day.... Good luck to you, kenster!

I know its a physical thing...but I firmly believe a lot of it is really psychological...it is for ME anyway... That's the reason placebos work so well...
