I have finally gone on some new anti depressants, today, Venaflaxine. For now, would you mind no negative comments about them
I do despair about myself. I have depression and later came ME, please Google search if you need more info it is diagnosed and is not depression
The ME us causing me extreme fatigue and I cannot sleep for hours. When I do sleep I can sleep in until late morning very day. This with the depression is causing me havoc. I took voluntary redundancy and whilst I can now sleep more I am worried. Even when I worked the 9 am starts for me were a killer. I showed up but could not always perform. I really do not know what I am doing. I cannot get on a bus every day because of my ME and I don't drive. I feel useless. I have tried many methods to sleep. I do not really want to take sleeping pills.

My condition is very similar to MS, I know in my case it takes generally all morning before I am anywhere near human so I feel sorry you have something that really knocks you up.
I my case I also suffer flares and I also can go into respite, my condition is also affected by Biometric Pressure, when it is low, I go lower. So I am here to chat

I too am on Venlafaxine have been on them for sometime and have no negatives about them at all. Also on a lot more tabs but they are for pain, G.P put me on venlafaxine when I lost my mum, that was in 2013, but as things not moved quite as fast as wanted, still on them, have helped me to manage to a point.
I was on Venlafaxine for several years and they worked so well for me I have nothing negative to say about them anyway. With regards to sleeping, I didn't want to take actual sleeping tablets but found by accident that anti histamines (not the non drowsy type) have the desired effect. When I spoke to my CPN I was given a prescription for Promethazine
(en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Prome... but have used over the counter ones when I have run out. I found that I would awake feeling very refreshed and no sluggishness. Maybe a conversation to have with your GP x
