Stopped mirtazaphine

I have been off mirtazaphine 3 days now feel better but have loads of buzzing in head

Any idea does that go it happened the same when I came off pregablin is it the neutrons going haywire and will they settle down anyone had that after stopping mirt

To put your mind at rest discuss this concern with your GP. However if you feel this problem is a repeat as you came of your medication, leave it for a further week or two and see how it goes

I know in my case I have suffered various side affects coming of medications and I have given a short period of time for the problems to lapse.

One further thing to try is look on the internet, many sites explain problems, you can try these sites for an explanation.

You can also try NHS Information on the internet they have a section that have medications explanations and contrindications

Gp wanted me to stay on it I was like a zombie I'm sure they have me buzzing in head

I too had this. My Dr called them brain zaps. He also told me it is withdrawal from coming off some medications too quickly, mine was with another anti depressant that i was having serious side effects with. They are nothing to worry about (although annoying) and go fairly quickly (mine took just under a week). I'd still check with your Dr/Gp though x

This is 4th day off mirt now buzzing in head ,week legs etc is that what you had how long after stopping meds did it start and long it lasted, if just started omega 3 to help any suggestion

hi I tried tapering off them and it was a nightmare I hardly sleep as it is but I virtually had no sleep in over two weeks so doctor gave me zopiclone.i ended up back on them again as I was like a zombie and with a bursting head like yours.feel for you hope it passes.

hi I was on 45mg tapered down to nothing back on 45mg again.

the doctor gave me 2 weeks of zopiclone I slept like a baby best 2 week sleep in years but he didn't want me on them long term sertraline didn't agree with me so ended up back on them.
