Back on the meds

I’m taking Sertraline, been over a week! Anyone experiencing loss of appetite, sickness and generally feeling unwell 😩😩being feeling like my anxiety is a lot worse now than it was when I started taking them.

I called 111, it’s not the meds, it’s food poisoning! I had a Chinese last week, and I haven’t been right since..

Hi didn't your doctor tell you it's usual to feel worse until the meds get fully into your system? This can take around 4-6 weeks, so be patient and they should start kicking in in the next few weeks. x

You are best to come of your medication over an extended period

Allow time to come of this medication you will most probably suffer contraindications eventually you should be ok

Stick with it. I felt terrible for about 4 weeks but much better now. Was crying all the time but hardly shed a tear now. If you still feel bad after 4 weeks(unless you get an allergic reaction) see your gp. Mine automatically gave me a 4 week review.

I’m sticking with it, I had food poisoning and unfortunately I still have it! I called 111 as I weren’t sure what to do.. they told me to stick with the Sertraline as it’s not that.. I’ve been on them before and never felt sick or loss of appetite

It will . I am on it now for 6 months and I'm still nauseous. But not so often x
