Depression???

I went on anti depressants for my anxiety but now I’m on them I’m so angry all the time and not in the mood to do anything, I binge eat sooooo much I’m on mirtazapine which makes me a bit hungry but this is binge eating to a whole new level. I was 10.9 stone now I’m 12.1 so you can guess my disappointment in that. People have been starting to notice my mood changes but I can’t help it every time I go off on someone I go hide and cry. Just wanted everyone’s opinions I’ve never had depression and never been diagnosed with anything other then anxiety.

Talk again with your GP about the mood change.

You need to allow five weeks for this medication to work, if you are still angry you will need to mention your problems. Do you have any reason why you feel the way you do ?

With AD medications we do seem to put on weight, I really hope that you will control this problem however it sounds like you are comfort eating and that will cause A weight increase as dose the medication

Consider why your Anxiety is now becoming more a depression, to know the reason will help you understand its control. Write a list of your problems for when you visit your GP that will give a more complete explanation to your GP

There are many different anti depressants available . Work with your Doctor until you find one that suits you . It may take awhile but will be worth the trouble. There's no need for you to suffer when you can find a better answer. Pam

Talk to your GP. But I can give my experience: I suffer from Bipolar-2. I am 37. I am being treated since I was 21. The first year having medication was a process with my psychiatrist checking me every one week, then two weeks, then once a month, then once every 6 month and so on. But sometimes I had crisis where start again the while circle. Now I am taking three pills every day and I feel like my life have some stability. I can have a child, my wife, my job.

Stay calm, I am absolutely sure your symptoms have a solution. Keep going your GP, if it is not working find another. Keep their instructions carefully it is really important keep a good communication with your GP. Tell him all about your symptoms. From time to time feel your body, feel your mood, and try always to describe it. Try to write it on a paper. If pen and paper is used much better than computers. Then go with that written feelings to your GP. Also try never to stop doing your common taks: from washing, to wake up every day, try healthy food (vegetables, avoid meat and junk/fast food), meet up your friends and family. Do handcrafts, painting, walk.

Those are my advices.

Good luck and give all of my best wishes.
