Fluxotine

I’m starting this antidepressant any one have any experience with it? Give me some insight? I understand they work differently on different people. Thanks

Hey there. I take 60mg of fluoxetine and I've never had any problems. It helps with my low mood and there doesn't appear to be any weight gain. Good luck x

I've used it in the past and found it very useful for my Chronic Depression; I never became addicted and always had no problems coming off it. The nausea can be unpleasant but it's worth it if you can ride it out. I'm only disappointed that my GP told me it's no longer available, but I think she wasn't being completely honest; I've since discovered that they don't like you having it if you are Diabetic (which I now am) as it makes keeping your sugars under control more difficult. I think it's an excuse so they don't have to have to monitor me on it. I've read some nightmare stories of people becoming manic but I think that's because it became the go to drug for a while and was prescribed in error for some people it wasn't suitable for. I'd take it again in a heartbeat, if they'd let me; alternatives they've given me periodically all made me feel so much worse, so I won't take anything else they offer now. I'm coping (I use the term loosely) with absolutly nothing when my periodic depression hits, and it makes coping with my other conditions (chronic pain etc.) that bit harder.
