STILL LEARNING AFTER ALL THESE YEARS

I suppose as long as you're alive you should be learning new things and being reminded of things forgotten. I am always surprised by what I learn about myself from what others post. It seems we are all so similar. Something a person wrote last week caused me to realize I am scared every day. I think I have been like this all my life and just push through the best I can. I wake up every morning with a sense of dread and then find something, some reason to get up . Most days I make a decision to be in a good mood and it can take me awhile to get there. I knew I needed to be alone for a short time but never wondered why. A slow learner I guess. Pam

Appreciate this Pam. Feel the same. If we can get into the habit of negative thoughts, we must be able to get into the habit of positive thoughts.

Yes , I think so. I do wonder why the negative seems to have a stronger hold on us and we don't seem to give as much weight to the positive ? One of the things I sits and thinks about. Pam

If you keep doing positive things then you will have positive thoughts, the reason most people have negative thoughts is because they sit thinking about it so much. If you plan to do things throughout your day, things that will make your brain think and achieve then after a while you will think more positively. Learn, aim, achieve, win. Old hobbies, new hobbies, exercise goals, achieve. Do these and you won't have time to be negative.

I guess I wasn't very clear and also was combining two different posts. I sit and thinks about things that interest me... the human condition, why life is a challenge at times, books I have read. I am not having repetitive thoughts or necessarily negative ones. What I learned about being scared is new to me this very day. I have somehow managed to work with it in a positive manner How or why I don't yet know. That's what I'm thinking about. Pam

Hello Pam

In the morning I get up and sit on the edge of the bed, and start and snooze for about five mins, then get up and start my day. This morning I had an early appointment so it took me longer to get moving. Generally I am not human until after tea break, then I am able to check the news and look for something to do after lunch. My problem is pain and stiffness. Everything seems to take me a long time. The tree I strapped yesterday saw me finished for the rest of the day.

Got my blood results etc today they came back clear, no Cancer etc
