I guess my story begins about a month ago when I was just lying in bed and I was just thinking I can't remember what about but I just started to feel incredibly detached from myself and my heart started beating incredibly fast and I was just full on panicking. From that point on it's felt like I'm a different person from the one who has lived out all my memories. I hear the voice inside my head a lot more and I understand the power of the mind and just how destructive it can be. My days a're riddled with negative thoughts such as the point of life and what's the point of anything. I know everyone has these thoughts but it just effects me so much to the point where I feel like a passenger inside my head to what's going on even though I act as normal. I am not happy at all anymore and would give a limb to go back to the old way I used to think because right now I don't know what I'm going to do but I'm here telling my story so that's a start I suppose.

Hi Alex79 and welcome to this caring forum. Please stay on the forum where you will receive help and support from other members who will understand how you are feeling. Also, it would be a good idea for you to make an appointment to see your GP who will be able to help and support you through this. As you mentioned in your post, you have joined the forum, which is a good start. You may also like to have a look at MIND [Mental Health Charity] website mind.org.uk. There is a lot of useful information on their website.
Are any members able to help Alex79, please? Do stay on the forum and let us know how you are getting on. Thank you and best wishes.
Well done for speaking out, that's a huge step. I bought a book called 'The Thrive Programme' as I have Emetophobia which is a fear if sickness, mainly around tummy bugs. The book has made perfect sense as it shows you how your mind controls how you are feeling and it teaches you to change your thought process. Although I have found the book very helpful I need some professional support as well so am on a waiting list for CBT so that I can work through the book again.
Please don't despair things will get better, your mind just needs time to heal.
Sending you hugs xx
