Pip with bipolar

Hi I just wanted to say that I won my appeal today for pip. It’s been a long road to get here I was getting DLA they then said it had to change over to pip when I finally had my assessment I was turned down I went for a MR(mandatory Decision) and lost that so I sent in for appeal that was last April and I’ve just won it. It’s been such a long process. They stopped my dla a few weeks after I was turned down last year So now I’m wondering I’ve been told I’ll get it back dated but do they only back date for 1 year so from today back a year or do they backdate to the day my dla stopped cos if that’s the case then I’m due we’ll over 5,000 which has is quite abit of money. Ibe got bipolar and struggle to budget as it is my hubby is going to make sure it goes into a savings account so I don’t spend it all.
