It seems anxiety and depression are the big topics. I suffer from both as well as other mental illnesses such as paranoia and occasional psychosis. I’m ashamed of my mental illnesses even though I believe, for others, it’s nothing to be ashamed of. I’m sure we all feel that way at times.
Online it’s easy to talk about because no one knows me. But in my daily life only my doctors and my fiancé know. I refuse to tell anyone else.
Anyway, I’m just curious. If anyone else would like to share their story. Do you suffer from other mental health problems and how does it affect your life? How old were you when it began and when did you seek help? Share as much as you like. As alone as we feel most of the time we are not alone. And for many it’s hard to talk about with those around us and it’s so much easier to talk to strangers who understand.

Hi Katzenjammer82, You are right, you have nothing to be ashamed with your mental health problems! If Princes William and Harry, and other public figures have shown, is that it is time to take mental health and mental illness seriously, to openly speak about it and take the proverbial lid off Pandora's box! It's also ok to only tell a few people on a need-to-know basis. In the UK:
