Loss of appetite and nausea

I've been on sertraline 50mg for a week and a half and in that time I've been eating alot less than normal and feel sick if I try to force myself to eat.

I've been eating less than 800calories per day, sometimes under 500 but I don't feel hungry at all.

I can go nearly the full day before I even think about trying to eat. A couple of days ago I was at work and it was 6pm before I realised I hadn't eaten all day.

Any tips? Anyone else struggle with this?

I went through that as well. I lost 8 pounds the first 4 weeks. It eventually goes away, but mine took about 5 weeks for all the side effects to go away.

I found that taking Ginger root tablets helped with the nausea and also some wrist bands that are for sea sickness called Sea Bands really helped. You can get them on Amazon for under $10. I’d suggest trying both to see if it helps you. I also tried to eat more during the times I wasn’t nauseous to get as many calories in a day as I could.

Hang in there. It does get better.
