Why is it necessary for a nurse to say they have deleted a post because the person needed help. I find this a bit belittling to the person. Don't think I would want a nurse interpreting my actions to others In a public forum.

Hi Milynda, thank you for your post. I can understand and appreciate your concern for a community member. However there are times when a person needs Professional Medical Help, and as this is an anonmymous forum it therefore cannot supply all the help a person may need particularly if they are in a severe crisis. I can assure you that this person will have been sent a private message with details of where to get urgent medical help and encouraged to do so. Also as per the rules of Health Unlocked and the Shaw Mind Foundation , all members of the community need to be safeguarded, so if a post may cause distress, then unfortunately it has to be deleted. I hope this helps and wish you all the very best...........
