Has your GP done a full blood panel? To include iron, vitamins B12 and D, thyroid, etc? I'm on this section of HU and also the Thyroid section. A low thyroid level can cause dozens of horrible symptoms. Also low vitamins & iron etc cause all sorts of symptoms. If your GP agrees to do a thyroid blood test, you must go & ask for a copy of the results. You are legally entitled to have a copy but the receptionists/admin staff don't like it! You need to see a thyroid blood test, and in fact the others too, as GPs don't have the time to interpret them and will say you're ok and you may well not be. You could take a look at the Thyroid section - it shows that it's mainly women who suffer hypothyroid. Please do PM me if you would like more info.
PS The reason I said you must get blood test results particularly for a thyroid test is that the TSH result range is between something like 0.5 to 10. If yours is, say, 5 you will feel very ill. To feel well your TSH for thyroid needs to be 1 or under. If the result is under 10 your GP will say "you're fine, off you go".
