I keep searching for something to keep me going to not commit suicide. I've reached for help but it didn't quite help and even the doctors are trying to put me on some stupid pills

Is there Hope?
Pills can help, though perhaps not alone. Therapy is needed by all accounts. Share your concerns here, we try to help one another. Hang in there.
Hi,
There is hope. I didn't want to go on pills so I had a long chat with the GP and we came to an agreement where I would take the medication to help me get to a place where I was rested and my head was less fuzzy so that I could make the best use of other therapies. So I did a CBT program and a stress control course. I have also paid to see a psychologist myself which was very helpful and I have read a lot of books and articles.
I made changes to my diet by removing most of the refined sugar and processed foods from it. I don't drink alcohol and I ensure that I drink lots of water everyday.
I also increased my exercise level and I sorted out my sleep issues by following a sleep hygiene plan and a sleep routine.
You could check and see which groups are in your local area which can offer you help and advise.
You could also check out the Shaw mind foundation website and see there is any information on there that could help you.
Take care.

Welcome to this caring and supportive community. I am sure you will begin to find friends here once you start opening up a bit more about your depression. You may like to tell us how long you have been feeling this way and what helps and what support have you had, in order to help you cope better with your life?. It may be that you need to go back and have a long chat with your doctor, sometimes booking a double appointment gives you longer time. It is important you express your thoughts to your GP, and it is possible that a combination of medication and therapy may help you to feel better about yourself.
