You need to talk to someone about how you are feeling. Self harm is a dangerous thing to do as there is potential for it to become habitual almost addictive. A lot of people use it as a way to deal with emotional stress or pain. I'm not going to lecture you on that. But, try to talk to GP if self harming is a regular thing as they can help with supporting you to find healthier ways to deal with these feelings.
It's horrible when a relationship ends and really important you have someone to talk to about it. If you cared for your boyfriend the pain won't just go away instantly. You have to go through a process a bit like grieving. It's really hard to do.
If you think you made a mistake ending things go talk to him. If he really cares then you might be able to work it out. It takes courage to say you made a mistake but we all make mistakes.
Tell your mum sorry. There isn't anything she won't forgive if you talk honestly to her. She loves you and will want you happy. Mums can be great supports once we stop lecturing and shouting 'I told you so'
Remember give yourself time and love. Don't be too hard on yourself. If things are still bad after a few weeks speak to doctor again.

We all fall out with different partners, we never get used to it and we wonder if we will ever love again, sometimes we know we have made an error and when the person leave we suffer a double dose of, what have I done. If you have done wrong you have two choices, phone the person up and say sorry, or accept the loss and move on. Whatever you decide it is your decision. You are not alone in these concerns, we all go through them and learn from experience
Your Mam, I do not know what you have done, it may be to do with your passed over love.
Mams always have concerns for their children and these concerns in a young persons life seem unreasonable. She has a go at you because she loves you and is concerned if you have done something unexpected or a dubious activity. You are lucky She is watching over you and does not want you to be hurt as possibly that happened to Her when She was young
Give her a hug and try and understand Her feelings and expectations. She is trying to help you and stand by you when you make lives bloopers

Regards self harm
Clean the wound and cover it if possible, if you are having problems you will need help and go see A and E. Or call NHS INFORMATION on Tel 111 and explain what you have done
If the cut is clean and stopped bleeding. Tomorrow ask to see your GP and explain what you have done.
Remember do not do it again.

Hello Gailypoo123
It is good that you reached out for help here. Self -harming is destructive? please try and talk through your feeling with your mum and boyfriend?
i am a mum and would definitely want to help my daughter in this situation? try not to worry? your well-being is what is important.
Can I ask how old you are? If you are under 16 you might like look for a website more able to offer more specialised help to young people? Like 'young minds'
Best wishes xx
