New to the community

I am a carer for my father who has had depression for several years. As well as this he has several other medical conditions including cirrhosis of the liver. He has attempted suicide twice as a result of his depression.

I have been his sole carer for the last 5 years. I have got help from my local carers support group as well. This forum may be an additional source of support for me.

I am taking my father to a mental health assessment today. Not looking forward to it but he needs me there with him.
