Vortioxetine and feeling so bad.

Hello everyone,

I've been struggling for months now. Trips to the doctor, tried 4 antidepressants all gave me bad side effects.

I've come across vortioxetine, I'm wondering if anyone is on this? Did your GP prescribe it? I am thinking of asking if I can try it as I need to start to feel better. I am not going out much now and that is not good or fair on my children.

I suffer with severe PMS too and recently I am thinking about death and having suicidal thoughts in the 5 days leading up to my period. My anxiety is also coming back.

Life is hard at the moment.

Update - I'm trying Lyrica for my severe anxiety. My Gp knows me well, she could see how distressed I was and the fact antidepressants don't seem to have helped we've decided to try Lyrica for anxiety.

I hear you Clazzy78 I am sorry I cannot help regarding the new meds you have there.

What I will give you is a distraction technique to help ease your anxiety plus it is also something you could do with your children. Gather some paper and some pens or pencils and draw something that springs to mind for example it could be a tree .. You can draw different leaves on it and draw some fruit on it .. Why stop there when you can add some clouds and the moon, some fields in the background maybe ... Etcetera .. Its just an idea and helps me reduce anxiety when it flares.

Everything hurts. My head hurts, feels like a medicine ball. Cannot concentrate. Everything is so slow.
