I've suffered from depression on and off for years. 6 yrs ago it got really bad that the doctor had me seeing them every month, we got it under control and I've been on meds ever since. 2 yrs ago it got bad again, and my husband decided to leave as he couldn't cope with it anymore with no help. For those 2 yrs we've had daily contact, but now it's stopped on his part, and I now feel how I did 2 yrs ago when he walked out. I just want to get better, I do different things to help get better but it seams like 1 step forward and 2 back. I hate it

  • Keep on keeping on. Be grateful it is no worse!

Write down 3 positives every day. Look at mood gym, healthy eating, lifestyle, perhaps a change of meds, problem solving.

  • Same but you will get there im 21 and suffered from depression for three years i have used exercise and art to release my frustration and anger and have made a positive impact but now need to focus on that as a job or self employment, if u like a hobby try and incorporate into your life im in the care sector and lost jobs due to this which shows no support in mental health . I studied in this area one level from uni with level 3 but getting nowhere soo using my skills to make a difference to my community hopefully in the future , and have a interest in occupational and art therapy , i know its horrible it takes time i know how u feel cause i go through it at the moment but take steps that are positive to you X you will get through this
