Get together now
Hello, Wanie I understand your feelings but I think most in government know of the suffering of those of us with mental health problems , although only those who suffer first hand can understand the real pain and this will probably mean very few in positions of power.
Even unlimited funding would be ineffective in cutting all the suffering although some lives would no doubt be saved. Physical pain usually shows symptoms and can be easily imagined by others but mental pain is all going on in that round thing between our shoulders and shows little , so its more difficult to raise funding.
It is hell and I feel for you ,but its a hell we largely have to deal with ourselves ,the medics can only help as far as their knowledge goes which is not very far in dealing with depression.

Hi as a cynic I think the Govt. know all about it but just don't care. I don't think writing to Prince Harry would make any difference!
Can we help you Wanie? This is the second time you have posted but we have no idea of your situation or how we can support you. Do you feel able to tell us a little more about yourself please? x
Hello. Is it wanie (username) or wannie (signature)? Either way it would help to know a little about why you are feeling so bad so that help can be offered.

You can try this to make your self feel good in yourself in helping others. but at the end of the day our goverment dont really care about this. im not negative thinking but they dont even care for ptsd on there own soilders.
but if you make a big enough comunity on this it will be heard. no harm in trying
Yes we all suffer in hell ,we need help now more money put in ,it's all private ,shame on them wannie
Wanie,
I agree with coughalot (volunteer) ' previous reply . What about the latest publicity stunt about PM T. May "promising" to invest more into mental health .? In reality all we hear about is funding cuts and more funding cuts left, right and centre . Damn depressing !
I had to fight for years (no wonder I now feel a total wreck!) to get GP appointments, change my medications, get referred for CBT and counselling (too short & vague sessions. waste of time and big slap in my face ) join free group activities, etc.... Nobody cares and that's the plain painful truth . It's still survival of the fittest in this world . I dare not think about how they manage in poorer countries , on top of struggling to stay alive everyday .
Still believe in what you are doing and keep on the pressure . You may succeed where many others have failed . By helping others you are also helping yourself . Well done .
