hi: Hi guys and gals, hope everyone is... - Mental Health Sup...
hi
Well, you definitely need to have something to eat. Low sugar won't help you. It's ok to cry. You are releasing the emotion.
Xxx
I was ut earlier with a friend shopping, we sat had something to eat ad drink, were talking about my depression etc because my mate has helped now and again and this guy out of nowhere interrupted us and said "depression, really theres no such thing its just a lot of sad people who need to cheer up and stop bringing normal people down" i got so angry, i never chose to be like this and hate ever day I'm like this, he also said I'm just costing the nhs money when theres people whoo really need it, ive felt soo low since he said all this

Hi Phil
Let's hope that the guy never gets ill. If you are anything like me at the moment the waves of guilt keep coming, but we did not want this feeling, nobody does. Hateful people like that should keep their opinions to themselves. If you need help at the moment then you need it. Reminds me of 2 months ago sitting in the doctors crying my eyes out telling him that all I could think about was killing myself whilst apologising for taking up his time. This is an illness.
So sorry you are so low at the moment, but you are doing something about it which is positive.
Hope you can push through and forget the idiot.
Matt
Hi Matt thanks, I'm so sick of this and a few days ago I was told I've got signs of dissociative anxiety/depression and amnesia which when I think about certain things it explains them I'm so fed up so low.
Hi Phil, I totally agree with the other replys to you. That guy was totally ignorant and obviously had no idea of what it's like to suffer so. One day he will though because everyone is touched by it at some point. If it's not themselves it's someone close. Don't let what he said to you spoil today now, forget about it and move on from it. it certainly is not wasting nhs resources. It's a new day so try make the most if it.
Sorry to hear you're so low at the moment my friend. Regarding eating - if like me you can't always muster the motivation to cook/prepare something, I've found stocking up on some quick & easy snacks is a good way to make sure you eat at least a little something. Hummus and pitta bread is always a winner for me. Don't even need butter or nuttin' - just dip 'n' go
As for the guy in the shopping centre... ultimately you gotta feel sorry for him for having such a blinkered and unempathetic standpoint. It'll most likely come back to bite him someday.
Hi Phil, that guy was just an ignorant peasant. Some village must be missing its idiot.
To add to what Hidden said about easy eating - hard cheese like cheddar (lasts quite a while and isn't a high risk food if you forget to put it back in the fridge once in a while) and savoury biccies to put it on. Make sure you drink loads of water also. All the best - and don't give a further thought to that misinformed moron! With my very best wishes, Wendy x
