I don't understand, either.... If this is about cheap overseas labor...well, thing is: we have NO IDEA what these worker's lives are really like... And who knows... maybe they experience more inner peace and joyful times then many of us do...  Everything is so individual.

I think it is suggesting that in some countries people have so little and yet still manage to feel satisfied with what they have, in other words think ourselves lucky.

Do you have this philosophy Stressbuster and does it work?  x

Well, it's my new mantra.  Beliefs are at the core of changing feelings.  Doesn't matter if the belief is real or not.  If you make yourself believe FIRMLY that you're satisfied with your life, then you'll feel better.

Although in theory you're dead right and a change in the way we think, although not easy, can make a big difference... But.... That would depend on the source of the depression. If it's psychological then yes, some good positive mental habits could help. Brain damage, however, is not so simple. Neither is the circumstances someone is in.

positive thinking may be an obvious answer to most but a luxury to others. Perhaps those who can be positive need to spread it around.
