Hello guys,
i am Alex. sick since 2014-February. After few months relief my depression is coming back . Feel very low today.Dunno what to do.
Hi Alex sorry to hear that your not feeling great today, Is there anything that has triggered you feeling this way?
No, I do not have any worries. I have job, boyfriend, cat. It just came like a bad cloud. I have problems with thyroid and they're saying this might be the reason like it was before. I booked my GP visit next Wednesday as i am seriously scared. I was very suicidal during my first episode ( last one year, maybe more) ended in hospital, lost pretty much my life. I do not want it again
Well at least you are able to recognise now when your not feeling yourself..so it should be different this time. Hopefully it is your thyroids and your doctor can help you. There are so many people on here feeling like you do so you are not alone. Is your boyfriend supportive when your feeling low?
Well at least you have them for support. I know it's easy for me to say but try and relax...The more we worry the more we panic. Just keep talking don't keep it bottled up. You are more than welcome to inbox me whenever you want to talk
Thank you!
Hi there. Hope you're feeling a bit brighter today? What did you get up to? Try surround yourself with friends and family. Or what hobbies dido you enjoy. Talk to someone, even if it is over this with one of us? Every little helps. Hope your ok
Hi Alex as the others on here have said don't keep it bottled up talk to your boyfriend or parents or all of them together, let them know how you are feeling and how scared you are. if you don't think you can do that post on here and rant and rave at us ( LOL ) If at any time you do feel suicidal (especially if you have a plan) and you are on your own then phone 999 and tell them you are going to commit suicide. This maybe a lie but you are ill and may need there help. OK this might mean a short stay in hospital, probably a day or two at the most, it's better than the alternative I can assure you of that.
I took a massive overdose last October, luckily I was found, though it was over 30 hours after I had overdosed. It took 2 paramedics an hour or so to stabilise me enough so I could be taken to hospital. Then I was taken into the intensive care unit where after a day or so I was put into an induced coma ( because I kept pulling oxygen mask off) I was brought back to life twice. This lasted for 12 days when they slowly reduced the medication keeping me asleep, I woke up 2 days later after another couple of days I was transferred to a ward. Where they found out I had caught C. Diff ( very nasty bacterium ) About another week later I was discharged back into the community.
Most of this story comes from what my daughters told me and a diary the ICU staff and some visitors wrote, I have no recollection of most of this only the last few days of it.
So please don't you ( or anyone else ) go done this road. I've seen the pain and suffering I caused to the people closest to me and it wasn't nice.
