Self hatred
Hello gunge
Yes sometimes this problem can be part of the territory,
Depending on our condition and what has caused our illness it can be sometimes hard to square that circle and many will need help to form a more positive attitude.
Have you seen your GP about your problem and what has He suggested ?.
BOB
Hi,
Yes absolutely. It is fairly common, as Bob says go and see your GP about getting some help. My self hatred was very extreme a year ago and with counselling, some compassion based understanding etc it has calmed down,
Take care,
Sarah
I have self hated many times but it does pass. U need to find what the trigger is to then deal with that. Do u see a councillor?
I know what the trigger is and tried CBT worked for a big t
No I've just come off them as were doing more harm than good at this moment in time aint got much that's good and its a waste of a life at the moment aint even got my health as long as my daughter is healthy suppose that's something
Coming out of the other side of self-hatred now, I know what caused things to go out of control in my life and as a result I acted out of character. It was that that caused me to fail at something and I continuously knocked myself until I had no respect for myself. At some point you may have liked yourself and been happy in yourself. It's trying to get back to that feeling and figuring out when and why it all went wrong which is key.
I have never liked myself, but still here, try to focus on one bit of you that you like, a finger, a big toe, your eye and only see that, as you start to love the bit you like move onto another bit, it keeps me going

I do. I have a strong dislike for myself. I think it stems from childhood trauma and low self-esteem. There are things about myself I can't stand & yet lack the motivation to change those things... So.e of the "things" I'm not sure how to change... Anyways your not alone
