depression
I felt that way too. And that everything else people said were politically correct cordial things telling me it was okay to be on antidepressants... No one could mean that, right!?
However I feel so much differently about it now. It truely is not a sign of weakness to take tablets. It was a sign of strength you asked for help from your doctor. The weakness is when people like I used to be denying themselves medical attention for the sake of stigma of others who don't really care about you anyway! Anyone who cares about you would want you to do whatever it took your doctor advised that would make you healthier. It can take a few weeks for the medication to kick in so please give the tablets a chance to see you were right to take them!
Hope you feel better soon.💐
Thanks x it was more the outside world that worry me x
Hello
Medications we take are not a weakness for those with mental health issues. Anyone who suggests that is not understanding the suffering you may be going through.
It may be possible in the future to reduce the your dose or remove the medications over an extended period of time. Most patients can actually recover so they will not need them on a regular basis. If you are dyslexic that does not dictate this type of medication. although it is always advisable to check with your GP.
Good luck and do not worry
BOB
thanks x seeing that now x
