Cosmic ordering
Hi Duncan have just looked it up seeing as you mentioned it. It looks a bit unrealistic to me but apparently Noel Edmonds is a great proponent. If it works for you then do it ! However in my opinion more likely to succeed is the conventional stuff like finding voluntary work and mixing with more people as this can lift your spirits if you feel well enough and give you a sense of purpose; but don't beat yourself up if you are not at this stage as we are all different and you need to find what works for you. Take care, Gemma X
Duncan I would say dream on and I think it's a load of poppycock. I
Find that you have to work at the things for yourself. If that worked I
Wouldn't need to be on this site. I would be lying on a beach in Hawaii. Lol

Duncan. I don't think the label of a process of thinking matters. If it's cosmic ordering, attraction, praying, karma, goal setting or wishful thinking it is still the thinking that counts. For me, I need quality thinking, not the flawed and worrisome stuff I have with depression but the good stuff that comes with conversation and contemplation.
I think of things I would like in my life and sometimes just wait for them but wishful thinking does not deliver. Being open for opportunities to get closer to the dream or goal helps, thinking through the steps to achieve a goal is better and picking up a phone to talk to someone makes it real. We all need to take those first, small steps towards something better and that can only be helped by thinking of a positive outcome.
I did a Mindstore event with Jack Black, not the actor, about goal setting and visualisation. It has a balanced approach to setting real goals and also getting benefit from the less tangible approaches. I choose to use the bits that work for me. a lot of it was about relaxation and what would be called mindfulness now. It is still about big goals and small steps in the right direction.
What would you like in your life, by the way?
Regards
Dave
Yep, I have! I understand Noel Edmunds is a big believer in this, he says it is responsible for his resurrected TV career -"Deal or No Deal". I triedit; didn’t work at all.
